A proven strategic thinker with an exceptional ability to turn ideas into outcomes, Kathy Fero brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to her role as Managing Director, Strategy & Business Performance. Kathy is a driven, goal-oriented, and people-centered leader with a successful track record of developing and executing large-scale innovative initiatives. She’s passionate about fostering collaboration across multiple lines of business to achieve strategic objectives.
Since joining ATB in 2012, she’s held senior roles in retail banking, private banking, business banking, and wealth management. Kathy has played an instrumental role in developing numerous ATB Financial strategies, including overseeing the successful implementation of ATB Wealth’s Private Banking offer, which has since grown into a business line of nearly $3 billion. She also developed and oversaw the implementation of the ATB Wealth’s Group Wealth Services offer.
Kathy holds an MBA in Financial Services from Dalhousie University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB), which speaks to her deep industry knowledge and financial acumen.
Outside of work, Kathy enjoys traveling with her husband and teenage daughter, and long walks with her Labrador Retriever.
