What were the highlights of your trip to New York City?

One of the best things about New York City is its accessibility. You can easily hop on the subway and be anywhere in Manhattan in no time. I also loved exploring the city's diverse neighborhoods, where residents live, work, and play all in one place.

How did you choose NYC as a destination? Was budget a factor?

My wife and I were fortunate enough to be invited to a wedding in Brooklyn. Since we were already going to be there, we decided to extend our trip and explore the city. To save some money, we split accommodations with friends who were also attending the wedding and shared other costs.

What would people be surprised to know about the city?

One surprising fact about NYC is that using the subway can often be faster than driving or taking a taxi. Plus, if you ride the subway frequently, you can even get unlimited rides after you take 12 trips. It's a great way to get around the city efficiently and affordably.

What sites should visitors of NYC not miss?

The Brooklyn Bridge is a must-see for any visitor to NYC. The views of the city and the bridge itself are stunning. Time Out Market is also a great place to try a variety of delicious foods in one location. And if you're a shopaholic, you'll love exploring SoHo, it has everything!

What should someone visiting know before they go?

Be prepared to do a lot of walking, as it's the best way to explore the city. While it's tempting to hit all the major tourist attractions, don't forget to take some time to wander off the beaten path and discover hidden gems. And don't forget to pack comfortable shoes!

What was your most memorable meal in NYC?

I'll never forget the classic lox bagel from Leons Bagels. It was huge and delicious, and we couldn't finish it all between the two of us. We also had a memorable experience at Adel's Famous Halal. The line was incredibly long, but it was definitely worth the wait. Their food was amazing and only $11.

Any travel hacks to share?

A great way to save money on your trip is to take advantage of the free admission days offered by many museums in NYC. It's a great way to see something new without breaking the bank and can also be a fun way to spark conversation with your travel partner.
